ABOUT ME

Architecture does not simply introduce itself to humanity, but rather it further engrosses persons within the space of their surroundings. It is an experience, a full body immersion: mental and physical. As a rising senior double majoring in architecture and Italian with a minor in City & Regional Planning at  The Ohio State University, the international scale of the field has led me to take a global approach in all of my work. This duality thus reflects my own personal dualities of utilizing both the left and right of my brain strive to for precedent of art over math and vice versa. Though as level-headed as it may seem, I strive to keep an open mind as I journey into the future.

REFLECTION

The past 10 weeks have been a life changing experience that I am sure to treasure forever. Having been given the opportunity by the Sant'Anna Institute to work in a licensed architecture office, whilst conversing in Italian, allowed me to achieve my goal of working in the field of architecture internationally. Being given the responsibility to oversee the design progress of numerous projects including physical building, landscape, and furniture, as well as graphic logo design and instagram curation, whilst conversing in Italian, I was able to utilize all of my skills to the highest potential. Along with that, to witness client meetings and visiting on-site projects, I experienced areas of office work outside of the physical office and design world. I am  unable to express anything but gratitude for the all of the opportunities this summer has granted me, and I look forward to the future opportunities my time here in Sorrento has granted me.
